Airworld

An art director came into our class for two weeks and one of the assignments was to illustrate an article for the in-flight magazine by Air Canada. The article talked about how nowadays business people travel from airport to airport and how they don’t anymore visit the city the airport is in. The airports have become contained worlds of their own, with shops, salons, conference rooms, barbers, etc. And business people find fleeting but genuine friendships in their bars. They still buy their kids t-shirts of the country the airport is in, though… In other words; they visit and they don’t visit.
